Yes, it's hard to see what advantage a new/old stock one has over a properly reconditioned one at (maybe?) a third of that price. I have several secondhand cast iron pumps in my garage which could be reconditioned and are worth not a lot if anyone wants a project.....

i think these GT's are highly desirable to the 50 and 60 year olds

They are the cars that they remember and perhaps had when they couldnt find or afford a S in their youth

The early ones in particular just like the MK1 S, they just have have that aura of the first ones were the best ones before becoming watered down

I reckon values on these will be strong for the next couple of decades
The best repairs go un-noticed

Nice find Kees, very cool. Reminds me of the Lancia Fulvia throttle setup, and a few Italian Market Innocentis as well.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!
