Let's hope it doesn't get all its period 'mods' removed and turned into yet another standard 'factory fresh' restoration by the new owner...

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
I totally agree, you used to see loads of Minis with “period mods”, often homemade, that gave them character and history.mab01uk wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 8:53 amhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164369561749

The better than “Factory Fresh” look, driven by Parnell etc....seems to be the only way now, sadly, in my view.

It is a bit of a time-wrp isn't it! Exactly what we all did with our old Minis in the late 1960s/early 1970s and seldom seen now.

Recessed screen would be correct for a December 1960 car. They started production of that type in October that year.
Nice selection of Marchal Spots on the front. That would be the talk of the town at any show you took it to and would gather a crowd bigger than any shiny restoration.

I'd paint the bonnet the right colour, give it a good clean and leave it exactly as it is.UHR850 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 8:46 amI do like it the way it is, it's an old one so it has it's foulds.Southwest wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 8:04 pmBoth I suppose..jay weinstein wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 8:00 pm
