Who is paying that for a car they cannot drive first? Not me.
£18k and then you find it smokes like a chimney and only has three working gears.

The seller should have just made up a story that John Cooper personally owned it and drove it around for two years. Instant 50% value increase. Kerching. You’re welcome.

I think Mathewson’s charge 10% at both ends plus £35 listing fee. Ouch.

I laugh at Matthewsons videos on youtube. Non stop bullshit.

Original looking period accessory padded seat covers, you can see the standard seat showing at the bottom.

I bought this car on the BAT site, here it is on the first leg of its journey to Ireland.

I’m hoping to do the bare minimum to get it up and running and then just drive it as is.
It’ll be joining another one I bought on BAT a couple of years ago

Regarding that Cooper s I just spoke to the auctioneer. It is an 850 shell, the paperwork says it is Austin but it is badged Morris and it doesn’t run, they don’t know why. Also as it says in the description, it has the fe number as the chassis number. Finally the chassis number is Morris.
I was considering bidding. If anyone else is I suggest they ring up for a chat, the guy was completely up front and honest.
Went for £10200 provisional

A couple of interesting cars coming up at WB & Sons the first week of December
https://wbandsons.com/catalogue-4th-dec ... ort=latest
First up is this nice looking 1960 Austin Seven. It looks like a sympathetic restoration has been done.

Second is this low mileage '73 Clubman Saloon. Asking price looks a little steep to me, but it is good usable condition.

You'd at least put 10" wheel on it.
I don't think the colour scheme is too bad, but not with that interior!

Quoted chassis number is A-A2S7-9*****A. So I guess it's not what it is.

It certainly isn't a 1967 car of either UK OR Australian origin. It's a few years earlier than that. A real bitza isn't it!

Another car that someone could potentially pay to much for from the description then, seen it so many time when people turn up at shows saying they have X / Y or Z car when it's not and they are none the wiser until something gets said (just in the course of normal conversation) about it not being what they think it is.
