Well I've been a bought a car now !!. Hope I can get a run !, this idea of the track day pushed me too it !! So you fellow 'up north boys' Slowboy, Graemec .. I'll be back in a mini !, it's a MK 3 mind but a 1275. Needs finishing so got the winter to sort it !!

Split sessions in the morning with an open pit in the afternoon sounds good to me.
Maybe split into two/three performance groups, race, large bore, small bore or something.

You will all need the password to book which you can glean from me by personal message

We will keep the password amongst ourselves for the first couple of months and thereafter I'll post it up on the forum. As you'll see optional extras are available like helmet hire, passenger passes and extra drivers. Track tuition from an instructor is also on the options list or you could just sit in with me and I'll show you all the wrong lines. Noise limit is 105 db as per the norm.

Places are limited and I predict this event will snowball once we start to promote it so it's a case of first come first served ! Feel free to browse the Javelin website, any questions you don't see answers to just fire away.

What about the noise limits, Blyton site says 95dB's drive by and test all day, sited on the exit of Twickers corner.
Yet the Javelin site says blyton track days are 105dB's static. which is twice as loud as 95.

I'll check it out but the 95db drive by measurements are taken some distance from the cars. If cars pass the 105db static test I can't see a problem.

you would really have to be doing something wrong to fail a 105db static test, ive NEVER seen a mini fail one at circuit racing


my car makes 98db at 4000rpm and that's running a reverse megaphone


maybe blyton take into consideration the shrill screaming passengers make when they do the drive by noise test....

Yes I agree, shouldn't be a problem.

By the way, the circuit owner is adding to the track layout over winter, should be interesting to see what the plans are but tells me that it'll be quite technical when it's finished. All that time learning the lines on youtube down the crapper I'm afraid Rich ?!

Don't forget camping is available on Saturday night before the event when we can arrive from 6pm. I'm tuning my guitar in readiness and ensuring a goodly supply of baked beans.

In answer to Trevor's question : you don't need to book anything to bring a display car , any Mini is welcome to turn up and take part. Booking is only required for track time.
