I really find that quite offensive being directed at a group of people (some of whom I know very well) that I've always found to be the most knowledgeable and helpful out there, the tone of your comment on the Maximum Mini site follows a simular vain, you also acuuse someone of being a thief and a fraudster in that post so people in glass houses......

I'm sure if you would like to post pictures of the evidence that points to your car being Lennons along with it's history you may well find that other people could offer yet more insight into the car

and always ready to knock people.

i have been reading some of the total shite on here about myself.

i went to school with ringo one person advised i told him...ringo is probably 75 and i am 61..
wtf is all that about..
i did play football in a junior league againt zac starkey of a saturday..he went to charters school and windsor great park football team played them in the saturday...this is fact..
i did spend my youth at cumberland lodge windsor great park which is 2 miles from titenhurst park..where lennons, ringo and zac lived..
and you people hide behind silly names to hide your identity...wtf is that all about.
its bad enough having hate...
having hate and hiding is weak..nonce weak..

but coming to my work place and home..being shown around and you print hate...is very disrespectful and i am not backward of coming forward to advise of this..

people who have met me through mini...wanted something..came to me.. i never went to you for anything..and certainly never printed my shite thoughts about you..because you didnt matter..why should i matter to you people.

why the hate...you dont know me...why judge.
Thank you for that scintillating contribution Mr Nolan. Personally speaking I have absolutely no interest in this type of car & have not as far as I can remember, previously commented on this thread or for that matter you.

I do however feel that your rant above says far more about you than I or anyone else ever could.

The user "marknolan" has been banned from this forum for threatening & abusive behaviour.

Members are free to fall out & argue as much as they want, but I will never tolerate threats being made through the forum, particularly when a member has made only ONE post.

Mr Nolan now holds the record for the shortest ever membership of the MK1 forum.

I decided not to mention this little spat the other day. Rather spoils the holiday spirit.....

For those spread across the good ol' US of A & Canada and can remember the wild old days of Mini Mania's message board 20 years ago, I seem to remember that Mark Nolan was inextricably linked to Bill Cox...

remember the wild old days of Mini Mania's message board.

Ha, ha, those were the days

It was more like a bar in the good ole' wild west a lot of the time.

It was really entertaining back then. I learned how to not run a BB from the early MiniMag & Minimania sites. TBH, I do miss some of the fun & games that I had on them though. Things are a lot more staid nowadays.

Nah Pete, it's just another common or garden variety Ferrari

(It was up for grabs just a few years ago, I think C&SC mag did a piece on it at the time).

Well it was definitely all black in December '66 when an ITN news crew filmed him arriving at Abbey Road in it. I'm guessing at some point, most likely in '67 or early '68 he had it repainted. This is sort of backed up by Pete Shotton's account of driving it in his 1985 book 'In His Own Write', in which he describes driving John and Yoko around in it looking at houses for sale in the Summer of '68, I don't have the book to hand but he definitely says it was green at the time.

Those rear lights :( :( in german we have a word construct for such doings: "verschlimmbessern" - I reckon 'exacerbetter' does translate it pretty good.
