I was looking at this thread now that mine is getting to a similar stage (painted and away having the hood trimmed) - with two early Crayford restorations under their belts Phil and Chris are fast becoming the world experts on these conversions!

Looks really good, just a question on the rear quarter windows what replaces them as it looks open on pics, is there some side window panels that have to go in.

We're certainly becoming familiar with them now, we popped up to see 30 PPO to get some pics of the hood recently. It's been out and about transporting the owners grandchildren around over the summer and is looking very tidy.

There's a frame with two pegs on the bottom that slot into the waist rail and are trimmed in the same material as the hood. I'll stick some pictures up of James's quarter windows once it's back from the trimmers.
This is was the very early one's looked like although 30 PPO has a slightly different shaped frame.
