Nice! :o

I wonder how you have this homologated in Switzerland? Don't you have even stricter legislation regarding modifications?
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s :ugeek:

Those metalwork maestros Doc Mabo and Andy 1967 would have both parts of that boot lid fabricated, fixed and painted in the blink of an eye........

How will you be going about lightening that lid? Put in dimpled lightening holes and replace the outer skin with an alloy one?

That's exactly the plan.

I will blast it tomorrow, then my friend will fix the rust.

Next step will be to drill holes and dimple them. I already did some prototypes...

And finally it will recieve a nice Alloy Skin i just unwrapped this evening. (Thank you Minispares)

Sounds surprisingly different to a 7 port with one Weber, almost like a BDA.

Do you actually need to use a frame for the boot lid?

I think if you don't use a Frame, the whole thing is a bit wobbly and instable.

Without Frame it's also impossible to fit the locking mechanism...

Some Progress on the bootlid

Next step is to make the frame a bit lighter...
