I have a similar photo somewhere of Marino Franchitti in a Wolsey 1500 on the run up to Lavant being chased by his rear wheel rolling along the track which still has the halfshaft still attached.

I should be jolly interested to know how to tell the difference between 8000rpm (a given) and a little bit more? 8-)

It looked like a fantastic event again this year. I was there for the 2010 event (my first time at Goodwood). Hotel already provisionally booked for next year!! And that was quite a mission in itself - nearly everywhere I rang was fully booked!!!
