Well I’ll take Jeff’s GT and raise him, Aussie Clubman GT for me as it was way better than the U.K. equivalent and I’ll stay in that era and add a Ferrari Dino.

Hum, I started off thinking about cars like a Dino, or an E Type Jag, but decided that if I didn't know what it drove like I'd probably end up disappointed.
That's the problem with fantasies, they are usually bitterly disappointing when you come to fulfil them.

Yes, I’d have to go with my Lotus 7 s2 A Series, and probably early 60s Lotus Elite S2 climax, I’ve only been a passenger in an Elite around Goodwood, so might be disappointed?!

1. Blueprinted OEW Mk1 Morris Cooper S on hydro with 8 port head and some quality understated/period mods
2. Singer 911 (or an Alfaholics GTA-R if Singer put me on a waiting list

)

I would love to see a E-Type Low Drag Coup beside my 62 Arden Cooper...

It's almost impossible to pick just two but my first instinct would be Citroen SM and Lamborghini Espada.
Ask me next week and it'll be something else, two is never enough!
Sod it, I'm going to blatantly cheat and add some alternative pairings...
Mk2 Cooper S and Series 2 Lotus Europa.
Maserati QP1 and Lamborghini Urraco.
Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Coupe and Mk3 Cooper S.
Lancia Fulvia 1600 Coupe and NSU Ro80.
Jensen Interceptor and Series 1 Jag XJ6 / XJ12.
Rover P5B Coupe and Dino 308GT4.
S&A Minisprint and Jag 420G

Like Pete the first would have to be a 246 Dino just a super classic and like the other I would struggle, my 970s would be a contender alongside a 6R4 and a TWR Bastos Vitesse.

Mine would be a dry Mk1 Cooper S with some nice tuning bits and then a very close run thing between a Lotus Carlton or a late 60's/early 70's Porsche 911,

NSU Ro80.
Dino 308GT4.
S&A Minisprint
I notice that we two have a similarly distinguished taste
I may add some alternatives I'd also fancy on top of the above and the ones I mentioned earlier
- Dino 246GT
- Citroën GS Birotor
- Maserati Bora
- Citroën BX 4TC
and some newfangled more affordable stuff
- Jaguar XJS V12
- Citroen XM V6 series 1
- Allegro Equipe
- Citroën CX Tissier 6-wheeler to haul the below "Equipe MiNiKiN Minis"

Authentic replicas of:
- Hans Schnabl's Mk2 Race Cooper S with Weslake 8-port and Lucas fuel injection
- Niki Lauda's Race Mini Cooper S
Anyway, I could really do with winning the well-deserved Euromillion lottery jackpot to finance this elusive collection along with the 2-car (but 10-storey) garage

My own Mk1 S and a Series 1 RS Turbo or RS 1600i (although I do think my 306 S16 is actually a better car than either of the Fords).
Definitely wouldn’t be anything exotic even if money no object .

Cap duly doffed
And I forgot to add...
Toolroom copy of a road going, monotone coloured '66 Mk1 GT40 and a Maserati Indy.
Lister Bell or Hawk Lancia Stratos replica in Stradale spec and a Kharmann Ghia Type 34 Coupe.
Iso Lele and De Tomaso Mangusta.
Iso Grifo and De Tomaso Deauville.
Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 Export and Lancia Flaminia GT.
FIAT 2300S Coupe and Alfa Giulietta Sprint Speciale.
1969-72 Porsche 911 Targa in orange or purple and an early BMW E9 3.0 Coupe.
I think I'd best stop right there....

We own (wife & I) a 64 MkI 1275 S & a 59 Aston DB MkIII DHC + a few more classics of varying descriptions, would like more classics but would probably have a divorce on my hands, we need to thin the fleet out or so my stepdaughter says

I had a Aston DB 2/4 mk3 .. problem was the owners club are a bunch of elitist !!!!! sold it & move on .. Early Minis or 1970,s Fords also any year Porsche are the best classic car solution because of a Parts availability .. example Bosch K-Jetronic parts for our Audi URq = no longer available

I’ve ticked most of the boxes by working on “dream cars” I’d be very happy with a garage/ budget big enough to look after the 4 minis I have. If I won the euro millions I’d still be very happy with a garage full of minis..

Are Toyota and Lexus officially classic cars yet?
