Silverstone Classic 2015

Post by Red Mist »

Myself and fellow Mk1 owner, Paul Hickey, are travelling over the pond to this in July.

The last time I was at Silverstone I was just 7 years old

Anyone else from here going?

Hoping for a good show of Minis in the U2TC race, and hopefully some more of this...

Will do Graham, we're camping for a couple of nights too. Will be traveling in a Transit though so not quite as exciting as a v6 Clio!

Will be going with v6.net too Graham and hopefully ORS. Am really pushing to get my mk1 done in time for the 3 day weekend! Living only a few minutes from the circuit, I might resort to pushing it in!!!

Only a week to go!

Looks like Minis will be well represented with 12 entries in the U2TC and 6 in the Battle of Britain race. Managed to recruit another Mini fanatic to come along with Paul and I so should be an enjoyable trip.

Me and my dad are down on the Saturday, parking on the MX5 stand though I'm afraid.
Haven't done a car event this year since Blyton so really looking forward to it.
Silverstone Classic is a great event with something for everyone.

Wet qualy today produced a Mini front row lock out, a dry race should produce a frantic first few laps..

Another wet qualy in the Battle Of Britain, spot the Ogle SX1000 and the Deep Sanderson, a quick Marcos would do well!

I hope he has grown a handle bar moustache for the occasion, and I bet getting the harnesses over a WW2 flying jacket is hard work!
