A+ gearbox final drive query
anyone know what final drive is likely to be fitted to a DAM 4818 box? or are there likely to be loads of possibilities?

Re: A+ gearbox final drive query
no 100% answer
id guess between a 3.6 and a 3.1
I think its too early to have seen a 2.7 or a 2.9
but too late to have seen any of the really low stuff like 4.1 etc

Re: A+ gearbox final drive query
I've put at least two into bits, they were both 3.44 from 10" wheeled 998's, they have A+ layshaft, mainshaft and idler gear, the teeth profile and ratio is Pre A+ though.
Not sure if they were also fitted to early metros with 3.65 final drive.
Cheers
Luis
