Last night the olive oil in our food box froze which made it tricky to prepare the bacon sarnies this morning. Tonight I chickened out and came home to a warm bed leaving my good mate John to guard the treasure and
freeze his nuts off in his tent for a second time. See you all again tomorrow.
Tonight's forecast for Blyton is 8 degs but feeling more like 1 ! Sunday is rain till 10.00 then temp rising to 18. Sleep well chums.

By the way, I should have mentioned a few nice cars :
1. Shorrocks blown Speedwell headed 1962 pickup.
2. Blue Biota.
3. Fiesta yellow 8 port Minisprint.
4.Pete's Hornet.
5. Coldwell Twin cam.

This is my (humble) opinion and i'm sure many will disagree with me but that's fine too.

Came home early due to family illness (got back a few hours ago and stashed the car away, trailer, all the camping gear etc). Rain on the way home but was dry all day, and what a fun day it was. Some great cars there today and people, the forecast PM is great for tomorrow so if you're even considering going I'd say go! A whole year til the next one!

I really enjoyed getting the Very Interesting Pensioners together, and no matter if they're rallycross drivers (Jeff Williamson), rally boys (Mike Wood) or racers (Glyn Swift, Gordon Spice, Anita Taylor, Barrie Williams or Bill Needham) they all seem to have a lot to say to each other and thoroughly enjoyed their day. Anita arrived fashionably late but was a little emotional to see '110 NNM' again after 50 years and was also just in time for our drivers parade for which I did pace car duty!

We raised over £1000 just today for Macmillans and Alzheimers, anyone that donated today should feel very proud of what we've achieved and there's another day to go! Hope everyone enjoyed the Mike Wood slide show and enjoys their day tomorrow. :)

Great work Pete, all the other volunteers who made this event happen. Kudos on the donation total - impressive! Besides the cool weather, sounds like an awesome event with great cars, drivers, etc. Looking forward to more pictures of the event.

Many thanks to Mark and Pete for a great today, the Mk1 held up apart from a bit more mayonnaise appearing in the oil than I first noticed last week, but I did like 3000% more laps than last year.
its been a long day since 4am but worth it.

Mark and Pete - had a cracking time this morning, many thanks for organising such a great spread, still annoyed that I missed it last year! It was nice to put some names to faces and the sight, sound and smell of all those top drawer cars will linger on for a long while yet. Everyone seemed ot enjoy themselves despite the rain... all good stuff.

Pete - many thanks again for the Rokee dash bits, I picked them up from Nick this morning, just got back and I'll be stripping them down this week to go in the car and I'll fashion a centre piece too once I've found something suitable. Top man and best wishes to you and yours ;)

I can only echo the other comments Pete and Mark did a stirling job
and the whole relaxed atmosphere with forum members and especially the VIPs
who were all very approachable in a very informal setting think I can rate it as
the best mini event I've been too and sat nights slide show was superb.

Well done to all who made it a fantastic weekend

I can only echo what has already been said and like to thank Mark, Pete and the volunteers on both days.
Great little event and long may it continue. 8-)

My head is still pounding after the drive home. Got a static show tomorrow, but I don't feel like washing the Woody. Probably go as is. What do they call it, Rat cars, yep that's it.

Have to agree with all of the comments, Blyton did it again for me and this year and was outstanding! The weather really didn't dampen the enthusiasm and stunning cars turned up and were driven as they should be! Massive thanks to Mark and Pete and all those who helped the still poorly DPU off and on the trailer! :D :D

Here's to Blyton Mk3! 8-) 8-)

This could become the premier event in the Mini calendar. In only its second year, it seems to improve with age. I sold some stuff, bought some other stuff and spoke to loads of people about lots of things Mini. Once again the cars were absolutely cracking, each one a piece of Mini history. The freezing cold and then hours of rain could not dampen peoples' enthusiasm. Huge thanks to Pete and Mark for all the effort, and to the celebs who entertain us.
Maybe by Blyton 2016 I will actually have one of my own cars there.

Sorry I had to leave early folks but thoroughly enjoyed my brief Blyton 2015!

MASSIVE thanks must go to the marshalling team headed up by Jan and John , without whom this event wouldn't happen the way it does. We raised a whopping £1275!! (ok, it was £1270.05) for Macmillans and Alzheimers. Big thanks also to Mark for all his effort and letting me just mess about all day, our VIPs for making the effort, Gordon, Anita, Barrie, Jeff (who both cancelled Donington to come along), Barry, Glyn, Mike of course for the works slide show (hope you all enjoyed it!), Chris for setting up the slides and looking after Mike and Mrs Davenport for feeding me during the day. Thanks also to Bill 'The Flying Anorak' and Patricia for all the publicity they did online, Colin at Javelin for being so accommodating, Big Stu for all the photographs and of course everyone that turned up to enjoy the event. Roll on 2016. :)

Great weekend (sadly cut short by ill child) and fantastic company.

A great total raised for wonderful charities.

A huge thank you to Pete and Mark for organising it (especially Pete and under such circumstances) without whom this simply wouldn't happen.

I, like everyone else, am just happy to play what ever small part I can to help. Roll on next year for a full weekend of fun!

I have just arrived save at home, it was a cracking event.
Nice to put some faces behind names and meet people I have known before again.
My Mini made it without opening the bonnet.
