Tim the original wickerwork sides would also tie in well with Hooper at this time.

Tim Harber wrote:As we seem to have a Beatles/Radford thing going I have dug out a pic of a Radford(?) Woody that I had when I had the shop in Putney

It had a Mk2 grille stuck on it and some later bonnet badge which I swopped for something more oldie. I was going to hang on to it as I was using it as a daily driver but an American student customer kept on asking whether he could buy it and I finally let it go. He was going to ship it back to the States

I can remember little about it except:

It was allegedgly made for the Queens hairdresser or something similar

Wicker on the sides , I think

It was bloody uncomfy to drive as the seat bases were solid ply under the cushion and it looke like they may always have been so

It had always been black and wasn't super-dooper spec of everything but had a lot of the obvious features (like the seats) . Can't remember what the dash was like - don't think it was that special

Must have been late 80's

Memory fades ....but I am glad to have been kicked into the joys of Beatlemania on the web - I now know where I was on 29 October 1963 ! Could'nt hear the music for screaming!

Image

Yes , it is a Turbo opposite Stuart
...I know where I was if thats Lower Richmond Rd or just off it .. I was up the hill at Elliott in 63 !!.. but I lived over the river in Fulham.. spooky 29th oct was 9 days after my birthday !!!.. given the cars was that pic taken about 25 years ago.. ??? foxy52

That is the most complicated dash I have ever seen in a Mini. You would need pilot training before attempting to drive it. Imagine taking this girl to the MOT centre and being asked to check your lights etc, I could see difficulties. I assume the owner is an Auto spark. Where is the black box

Bastards !!!... I knew about Britts car.... yes all old Classic cars are like Honey to thieves !!! that's why u would never want to leave yr pride and joy anywhere overnight in many parts of the UK.. Bits would get nicked or worse the car would go ! same prob my mate had with his beaut of a metalic burgundy Cossie 4/4 sapphire ghia saloon !!! he gave up ownership after 3 attempts to nick it in one year !!! to much grief shame tho ... foxy52
