HSCC 2015

Post by Pete »

HSCC's season has begun and Jonathan Lewis was sticking it to the big boys at Thruxton :

Apparently a pair of Lotus Cortinas got totalled! :?

Bybox saloons are not at Donington 2nd-4th May by the looks of it, obviously Blyton is the preferred event that weekend. ;)

Race calender here :

I don't see a ByBox round on the Donington schedule either - but what is "Under 2 litre pre-66 Touring Cars"?
I had intended going if By Box was running and Jimmy Fuller was entered.

The tyres seem to favour the lighter cars - and a Mini running that high at Thruxton is not consistent with the "period modifications" reg!
It looked as if the Mustang was using its tyres too much and dropping off suddenly from the way the Mini closed up. Don't recall Mk1 perspex windows flapping about that much in period either!

By-Box HSCC will be at Donington on May 30th.

Interesting that Roger Godfrey was only mid field in the Class D car, he usually does very well. With two Appendix K cars in front of him may be this is testament to the development that Swiftune have put into their FIA Appendix K engines recently? May be Roger was having an off day?

Regarding U2TC races then there are usually some fast well driven Appendix K cars in the race, often Mr Swift, check out the entries which are usually posted a day or so before the event. Well worth watching.

There's a race report from the Thruxton meeting here, with some excellent pictures. Featured is the completely new HTC competitor Jon Milicevic’s in a blue Cooper S.
