Hi all thought I would share with you my latest experience of restoring my Cooper in a single garage..... I have managed to nearly complete mission impossible without scratching the car.... But went out the garage in the week and found what looks like a large chip in my drivers wing! I have no idea how I did this! Blame it on the kids! Might be able to touch it in but most likely will need the wing repainting - an expensive additional cost! Fred at Nippy Cars has been telling me all about his Wingaurds. Nicely made and in colours close to that of Mk1 Minis - in hindsight purchasing a pair earlier on would have been much cheaper and less hassle than a return trip to the bodyshop!
Whilst I am on - thanks to Rich @ MiniSpares for advice on bleeding my brakes - got there in the end!
Was hoping to drive the car to Blyton but way too much to do - best not rush it!
Cheers Mark Whitchurch

If you have a PC, open the photo in Microsoft Paint and click on "Image" and then "resize" and scale it down to the required file size so you can then upload here.
Or just use a free photo hosting service (Photobucket, etc.) and embed directly in the message .

That happens to Mick Cooke quite a lot, he's a messy eater!MiniMark1 wrote: found what looks like a large chip in my drivers wing!
Shame you can't make it to Blyton Mark, I remember talking to you about building a hillclimber (I think!) about 20 years ago! Don't tell me this is the car?!!

Re: Money Saving Tip!
Thanks Highnumbers - that sorted it
Hi Pete - ha indeed its the same car! She was OE white with a black roof for many years. Over the past 20 years she has been a hill climb car with various 1380 motors, back to standard and with a 1071 S motor, then modified into a bit of a Speedwell rep. The latest emptying of my bank balance has return her to her original colour of Smoke Grey and ive added a few more Speedwell goodies!
Ive also got a Cooper Car Co Rep that I use in the DEWS championship for a bit of extreme Mini fun!
For those interested the website for the Winguards is winguards.co.uk
Cheers
