whatever you do billy, it will look spot on, your motors always do, i do like rich"s idea of a wrap though, dare i suggest a wrap the same as the wheel colour breaking into a chequered flag using the same colour for the black squares and body colour for the white in the n/s rear of the roof, just an idea murph :)

You worked at ' BMW mini' to long  , brave idea I think Jon, I'm with you, but unsure, always glad of the ideas though, I so want the car to look different

Bumpers on, headlamps in and loom nearly in, but everything seems to take so long to do, I'd forgotten how much fiddling about you need to do to make everything fit right !

I think some of the repro stuff does need a bit of modifying to fit right, plus any thing second hand I've bought is different again, I thought the bumpers would be an easy job, but again both bumpers are completely different, but that's what makes the rebuild or whatever I'm doing  , is called, :o so challenging and rewarding !, I think the most annoying thing is how much you forget when you ain't working on these old cars all the time, I've probably built 5 or 6 from the ground up between 1979 and 2000, but hell it's so bloody annoying having to ask the questions, I've never been 'Mr Standard and all correct" , but I like em nice, looking right and balanced, just so thankful of this forum :D

The repair kits turn up on fleabay now and again, but that's no good to you if you're in a hurry for one.
I've got a spare early wiper motor here if you're in a hole, but i can't guarantee if it works as it should though.

Not a bad days work yesterday, managed to get the loom through the A post at last, only by cutting off the bullet connectors, and then re soldering them !, fuel tank in, fuel pump in boot fitted, main battery cable inside, handbrake & cables, bit more work on the loom, lots of other little jobs.

Thanks again for nice comments guys, yeah really enjoying putting it together, ended up buying new A008s today, our tyre wholesaler we use at work had some in stock so grabbed some at handy money.

Got most of the other stuff ready to fit / bolt on, so that's down to time, still looking for some seats I like the look of, and a small amount of interior trim, as the most of it is going to be bare paint, its gotta go back to the bodyshop for cage plates and doors to be fit again as well.

Then there's the engine saga ! or indeed what I source, and that depends on how the rest of March goes at work (15 reg !), to what i actually end up doing engine / box wise! any one want a new Peugeot !! ;), if not lets see how September goes

So another good day, connected up the rubber fuel pipes to the tank and the boot fitted fuel pump, finished off the brake pipes, I'm not running a servo, so they are ready to bleed up, put the switch panel together, think it looks great without the chrome finisher with the matching OEW, then used the tip I picked up on here using the wife's hair dryer to heat the chrome side strip and it went on beautifully. Changed the front flasher lenses to white and front towing eye on
