Heritage A panels too tall??

Post by rolesyboy »

Hi folks. Gone to fit some re-skinned doors (original frames to the car) and having tacked some packing pieces around the door frame to get an even gap I was surprised to see that the new Heritage outer A panels appear to be 8-10mm too tall??? If you marry the leading edge of the door skin to the rearmost upright of the A panel the A panel sits effectively 8mm below the sill/door step edge. Bearing in mind the doors fitted before and the gap from door step edge to roof cant have changed does this imply that the A panels are too tall?? Has anybody else experienced this?? Cheers. Mark

Just a thought could it be an inner A panel with the wrong part number on it?
