my mum`s old smooth roof Austin station wagon

mum used this wagon to drive to TAFE college (she was a teacher there for ever) but we also used it as a delivery van for our family mini spares & repairs company (ReadSpeed MiniMecca) , it was a 1415cc stroker, discs blah blah blah,,, we had 5x of these mini delivery vans running around Brisbane delivering parts to all the service stations & mechanics & panel beaters back in the "hey days" of the mini... all had 1415cc stroker motors & discs & adjustable suspension etc etc etc

can you imagine me buzzing around dropping parts off to everyone at 100mph everywhere??? :-)

& my old morris woody wagon beside it (cant really see it that well in that pic) but i`ll dig her out soon & get it back to original & take some progress pics for you all soon.

years ago (when i was a young fella) my dad decided to help me "fix her up"... well he got our mechanics to rip the roundy front off it & slip on a clubby front, made it hydro suspension & took all the wood off, stuck an autospastic motor into it , so now it`s a piece of poop that i have to restore

stay tuned for more pics of both these cars & also some progress on my Monaco fastback mini
:-) cheers all :-)

& this Estate was the British Consulate`s wifes car when there were based in Canberra
Image

It had a seized engine from a blown head gasket & sitting for a few years so we`ll be fixing the engine back up & getting her going again soon
Image

Image

we also have an old woody wagon (My first car) & will be restoring it to it`s new-ish glory at some stage soon
we have 2x Bill Buckle Monaco GT fastback minis, 4 wagons in total, a couple of "S"s & an old cooper & a couple of sports-sedan race minis & my hillclimb buggy too, among many other bricks & other silly stoopid cars like a 48 Packhard, an old humber super snipe & a couple of Daimler Barker convertables, triumph dolomite sprint etc etc etfc

too many cars,,, not enough time so a pile of them will be sold soon to make room & money :-)

cheers
Matt

Nice solid looking estate.

Do you have any pictures of the Monaco GTs, and what's powering that Bay Window pick up, 'cos it looks like it has something a bit bigger that a flat 4 1.6?

UHR,,, yes i`m keeping it the way it is, all the history of the car is shown the way it is, if it were restored then all that would be lost,,, i was only a tiny weeny little fella when we got it & we did 500,million trips to sydney & melbourne etc with me in the far back & my 2 brothers in the back seat & mum & dad in the front :-), then we used it as one of our spare parts delivery vans after mum finished teaching
