The BMW there is probably at the space where the Cooper S NTD276C is parked in that last pic.

I must have passed this garage in Huddersfield a thousand time but only noticed the sign last month on the way to the autojumble in the old market hall. Sadly the 'M' is missing now...

Not sure which one was the Sheffield Motor Co, which is quoted on both my Cooper heritage certs.
Sheffield Motor Co was on Tenter Street opposite what was Midland Bank (now HSBC) Sheffield HQ, Griffin House.

It was demolished in the early 1990's and for many years was just a car park. The BMW garage (now Sytner) beyond remains and looks virtually the same today.

I found this in the October 1962 issue of Austin Magazine. Unfortunately there is no address, and I have searched and can not find anything. My guess it's probably been demolished by now.

I used to work at Jack Barclays on York rd Battersea When Rolls-Royce came out with those ugly totem pole signs they made them remove all the other signs from around it! we used to be Leyland dealers as well as Rolls-Royce I'll see if I can dig out a few pictures.

I remember totaling a brand new fresh off the transporter SD1 and being "sent down" to the Leyland end for six months as punishment!
here's how it looks now this used to be the Office and the paintshop upstairs. the main workshop was to the right a huge barn of a place sadly gone now

It may perhaps be the Holden & Hartley dealership on Church Street (Burnley). If so, you're correct - now demolished with a TK Maxx on the site.

Massive long shot, but would anyone have a photo of Donnelly Bros dealership in Caledon Co Tyrone in its hayday? My Traveller was bought there back in Sept '64. Now long closed. It used to have a few businesses in the complex but I think all are now gone and the building is no completely unused. I must take a swing round at the weekend and see if I can get a couple snaps of how it looks now.

The tower block in the background of Simon's picture of Sheffield is the Metallurgy Department of Sheffield University where I spent 20 (happy?) years before starting my business, Minibitz at 101 Albert Road.
My place can now probably be included as an "old garage". It is called Minibits House and has been turned into 3 very nice flats. The workshop has been demolished to make way for a new build of 3 more flats. I will post some pics soon.
