If it needs any bodywork you will have to use Magnum panels..

Hi Folks,

A couple of things to note today.

1st I can confirm that we will be collecting on behalf of 2 charities this year, both of which are very close to our hearts. These are;

Marie Curie Cancer care.

Image

Marie Curie provide care and support for more than 40,000 terminally ill people and their families in the UK each year.

Their nurses work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Their hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. And they help people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.

The Alzheimers Society.

Image

The Alzheimes Society provide care & support for people suffering from all types of dementia, they also help the families of sufferers cope with the day to day demands placed on them by this disease. They also fund research into a possible future cure for all types of Dementia.

For more information follow the link to the main Blyton page on the MK1 site

http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/action-day.htm

Finally, I would like to say that both days are now approaching the maximum number of bookings, so if you want to take mart in our event & haven't booked yet. Don't leave it too late & miss out.

Contact me via the above page if you need the booking line password.

Thanks,

mark F

Harry Ratcliffe's predicament was pretty key in our decision to choose Alzheimer's this time around, amongst other dementia sufferers I might add. Here he is in his shirt and tie at the wheel of his 1071 at the British Grand Prix, Silverstone ,July 1963 :

Hi folks, I've posted a few updates in the Mk1 Action Days forum, please take the time to read them. meanwhile to get you in the mood (not long to go now!) here's a nice panoramic view of the site to play with: http://blytonpark.co.uk/aerial-panorama/build.html

Our special guest driver's parade will take place at Midday on Saturday, starring Warwick Banks, Mike Wood, Anita Taylor, Whizzo, Jumpin Jeff, Barrie Hawkins, Gordon Spice and others , all in Minis appropriate to their sporting careers.

Only four weeks to go now, I've been talking to the owners of a few very interesting period competition cars who say they're going to bring them up to Blyton, so some nice surprises in store folks! :D

Also working with the local Gainsborough cadets to help with the marshalling so we should have some boots on the ground to keep things in order!

Anyone wishing to sell parts on the day please contact Mark or myself and we'll put you on a list. Please don't expect space to be available if you don't.

Saturday evening food details will be forthcoming very soon.

Ta.

Glad you mentioned selling parts, would it be considered bad form just to sell some stuff from the back of the tow vehicle?

The opening line of the directions on Blyton's website agrees with you:

http://www.blytonpark.co.uk/where-we-are-2/

Only rely on the postcode and your sat nav until you join M180, follow the directions as described on the link above from thereon not your sat nav..
