its a few years since I saw that car in its 'barn find state'

it was a lucky survivor and very original (in its 'as finished racing' state)

believe it or not, it was found/bought by autograssers and had one of them not realised that it was an cooper s, it COULD have ended up been used as a grasser!!!! (I suspect that's where the 8 port and the gearbox went actually, as it was fitted when it was found)

OK so if our little special guest parade lap works out we have Anita Taylor with her 1071 Cooper S racer which she's not seen since 1964 , Gordon Spice with a Britax replica, Warwick Banks in a Cooper Car Co replica, Mike Wood in a works Mini, not sure yet but I think Whizzo is going to come, we've got Barry Hawkins (need an appropriate car), and now Alec Poole has expressed an interest to come but can't confirm until nearer the time. More news soon....

I'd like to get some more car/driver reunions to join in, especially rally drivers, if anyone has any ideas, Mapple and Steve Enty's car? 8-)

I'm trying to get Brian Harvey to come and see his Unipower again.

That's a good question, maybe both in part, but I'd go for Saturday for Spice/Poole. Should know more nearer the time.

Booked on the track so far we have well over a dozen Mk1 Cooper S's, a few Coopers, Mk1 and Mk2 including S, 850 and 998, Mk3s, several 1275GTs, Clubman, Steel and Woody Travellers, Vans, a Pickup, Hornet, Innocenti, Rover Cooper, MPi, RSP, Mighty Mini, Minisprint, Works rally car, Maguire, Cox GTMs, Unipower GT, Biota, Marcos and Nimbus (so far, more to add, maybe we'll get a Wildgoose or an ice cream van! ) (joking apart I very nearly bought an ice cream van to stick a race engine in! ) (still might! :D ).

A fair spread then and that's just on track, expecting some nice cars in attendance. :)

Not this Brian Harvey then?

Should be fine as long as you don't try & go round any corners.

They use cement to clean up (Brian's) oil spills, not sure what they'd do for ice cream, lick it off I presume?

Rather ambient new film clip of last year's event from Jeroen...

Jumpin Jeff Williamson has confirmed, or is conformed, no it's confirmed. He's happy to do a talk but we'd have to kidnap Whizzo and lock him in a cupboard.

Sounds like it would cost a lot of lolly, especially if you give it some stick.

We've now got an Ogle SX1000 racer to that list.
