updates will hopefully be coming thick and fast! these are the penultimate set of shots for the engine and gearbox / diff rebuild! next ones will the the finished job!

body is also moving forward with some internal and external trim being fitted. will hopefully have some subassemblies fitted this week and may even be a rolling shell.....

i am really chuffed, and very pleased with the workmanship by Cooper's garages, M and D, and Allitt Motorsport.

a 'lightly dressed' engine, and the beginnings of some body trim. going old skool with a dynamo!......... hoping for an amalgamation within a week or so........

have looked into the brake line location and cant find any definitive location for it........ some are above and some are below the subframe lip........

have agreed to keep it where it is and move it if there are any clashes during the rest of the rebuild.

In all the years I've been doing minis I've never come across one that has the brake pipe below the subframe . What's wrong with it ? .... Ken

This looks cracking. I'm just writing a feature on another Mini that Lukasz has done, and that's superb too!

Just been looking at lots of pictures to check myself and it appears that early minis the pipe is tucked under the lip across the front of the frame but later cars it runs across the top?

subframes and engine went in yesterday...... not quite rolling but hopefully by the end of the week! seems like she is almost there..... upholstery, glass, final connections and commissioning, rolling road, MOT and home! blimey, can that really be all that is left to do?

and before anyone mentions that the brake callipers should be black, parnell says black or silver and my original ones were silver beneath all the grime! ;o)

your missing the little rubber half moon seal that blocks the hole between the gearbox and the remote.

22A285

you need it in otherwise the remote will fill with road grime and little stones!
