Hi there its Phill Briggs here on behalf of my company BRIGHAM ENGINES Ltd.

Ive been kindly notified by a regular customer of mine about the previous comments posted on this topic regarding my company and Im outraged to see some of the utter rubbish & claims that has been said here about my company!

Ive never seen a subject with such few facts & personal customer experience to make such huge leaps & bounds to totally inaccurate conclusions.

As for the comments:

I bought a turbo crank off them and in the description it actually said "we don't know anything about these, make your own mind up".
So, being a used part, I allowed for a regrind on top of the price as a worst case scenario thinking it would all end up pretty good. I got it after 8 weeks being messed around with the shipping, one thrust face is scrap and the biggest giveaway (to anyone who saw it in the flesh) is the word BENT written on it with magic marker.
No recourse with eBay because I was well outside the 28 day refund window. I now discovered that they trade as well, Brigham Engines ltd.

What you have failed to mention hear is that at no point did you send a single email! ebay message! text! or phone call! to us about this issue! You cannot claim you have been 'ripped off' or anything of the kind if you havnt even attempted to contact us!
We had to sell this crankshaft & loads of other parts down to having to reduce our storage space, I personally didn't list the item on ebay & never had eyes on or handled the crankshaft myself, the item was listed stating we had never measured, used or had the crankshaft in a engine block, I will not sell a crankshaft declaring its in good condition unless we have ground & measured it ourselves & bolted it in a good block to make sure its sound! We did unfortunately have issues with the courier as they went into administration & returned the item to us weeks after, at which point we sent it to the customer again. I was instructed that the customer was kept upto date with this & have just checked the messages to confirm. If the crankshaft was known to be bent or damaged by ourselves then it would have gone the root of any other similar crankshaft straight in the skip! At the time of sale & even now months later after the sale Im still willing & happy to offer you a refund for the crankshaft.
If only you had made us aware of the issue in the first place this problem would not have not progressed but been resolved quickly. PM sent to you.

My mate spoke to the garage and they wouldn't confirm the gearbox as being a (S box ) . Just because it's got 1128 on it doesn't mean it's got a 18 tooth first motion etc . What first struck me about it in the first place is why would such a engine building firm want to let go , the block and crank .? ... ONE BIG ADVERT .... For the garage ....

This is correct just because the case is 1128 doesnt mean its cooper 's' gearbox. Yes your mate did contact me regarding this engine and had some questions regarding the gearbox, I clearly stated to him that we did not know if the gearbox was close ratio as the teeth were not counted when dissembled & advised to bid on it with the intention of it not being close ratio & if it turned out to be then its his own personal bonus. there was nothing mentioned of anything being close ratio in any ad. How can this be any clearer or honest!
As for deciding to sell the engine, I myself have spent years searching for specific & rare parts for my classic cars often knowing people that have the parts and are not using & may never use them but do not want to part with them . This can be very frustrating especially when searching for a item for years on end to complete a car build & get your pride & joy on the road to enjoy & show off. For these reasons sell on rare items such as this 's' engine. As for advertising this is not the case, we simply stated the auction was by us as we were offering a rebuild service if required just like any other company. If we wanted to advertise we would run ads on ebay which we dont.

It's now obvious this company called BRIGHAM ENGINES are fraudsters, if they say they now nothing about this crank as quoted above , then messed wantafaster about until he was out of eBay rules ,so he could get nothing back.
Frauds like these make my blood boil

'fraudsters' - Outrageous!!! fraudsters are scum & take peoples money without supplying items or through scams etc and dont leave genuine contact details or offer refunds. 'if they say they now nothing about this crank as quoted above' - thats just it we were not even made aware of the issue!

If I were a 'fraudster' as you claim, would I operate a transparent business & have a company website, facebook page, all with addresses & contact details, would I put my personal contact number on my emails & even ebay! Brigham Engines is a registered company with HMRC & Companies house! - All transparent

Please Do your re-search before making accusations based of one be-grudged customer that didnt make any effort to resolve the issue.

Ive tried through this reply to be polite & fair, however the comments made against me are not & I think its only fair for both sides of the story to be made clear.

I do not make a habbit of posting on forums, however given the fact that false accusations & large destructive comments have been made I think its only fair to be able to defend & explain myself & my side of the story just as other members producing mini products have done so on this forum & others beforehand.

nice item ,always going to make plenty ,I think it will double its price in its last bid .I have done some good deals for nos panels etc with James Morrison ,I was told he's bought a works car and is selling a lot of project parts ,I suppose to fund its restoration .

The Dulles Dash is a very nice item, however the dash offered here in´t the genuine Dulles item, but the replica one also offered by datch.fr.

But it is still a very nice set, especially with those instruments!

Pavesi were a kind of Italian Wood and Pickett. They did a few Innocenti Coopers, some may remember the black one that was up for sale a few years ago.

Pavesi cut off the filler neck, and welded it in flush with the tank, and then made an electrically operated lid, that followed the curves of the body.

The car is even more impressive "in the flesh" and in a true immaculate timewarp A1 condition.
