£6K for a plate that barely resembles any works number I've ever seen (not that the world desperately needs yet another works replica does it???).... you can't say the seller isn't an optimist!

I sold my 'ex Works' mobylette scooter recently complete with ORX79F reg for just over a grand. It needed MOT'ing but would pretty much sail through with a couple of hours work.

He accepted the best offer for NJB 653F so didn't get the £5,000 "buy it now" price. In the shed wrote:I like the way the guy covered up the reg number, but left the one at the bottom.

What was it worth, considering of course, that it is a blank canvas and you could create the best ever replica (of something) worth over £50k?

Yes with probably one of the vaguest number plates you could find! ORX 79F is a good one, my mate Steve should have had that for his '707F' rep. A vague number plate on an 850 log book with a decent rear parcel shelf to build a car from..I'd guess about £300?Se7enthHeaven wrote: What was it worth, considering of course, that it is a blank canvas and you could create the best ever replica (of something) worth over £50k?
I've never seen a works replica go for that money, AJB 44B is one of the best and reached about £35K at auction (unsold) in recent times, bearing in mind that an accurate replica with all the right parts will probably cost in excess of that to build!
