A quick up date, was going to post these last week but the earthquake got in the way!

Interior is almost complete and the boot lid is on the car for safety as it nearly fell off the bench with the quake.

Still waiting for the engine and tyres to arrive, I will take some more pics in the week as these turned out rather poor.

Absolutely stunning mate!!

Here's hoping you get the engine down soon, real shame to see it head up north without one!

The ones on the car had an almost spoon shape end, the ones in the ebay pic are tapered to an almost piont type, that I have in my S, the red one almost certainly looks to be the speedwell type.

HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY EVER SEEN THESE SWITCH EXTENSIONS IN RED, IN THE FLESH ? Personally I hav'nt.
Hi Paul,
As many have said before ,this is a billiant thread, well done.
Regarding the switch extentions.
These are something I am able to reproduce exactly ,very easily and in any colour you like.
I would "just" require the loan of an original style item (in good condition).
Not sure what the demand would be for them in red,but mainly to cover the cost of the 'red pigment' I would need to sell 20 @£2.00 each.
Black is no problem, I always have this colour, as this is the "main stay" of the many of the various items I reproduce.(please see pic of example item).
Hope this helps
Regards
Gareth

 Shit. great pic.

Bit of bad news regarding the Arden, it will now be going up to Aucland to have the engine fitted by the engine builder
But on the up side I will be going up to finalise and detail it.
Will post up a few pics soon as it now has the rosepetals, donnet and boot on, the decals will also be on in the next few weeks.

Paul, you realise you will need a passport to get in to the north island? :o Anything I can do to assist when you are up? ;)

What are the "garden taps" for at the end of the hydrolastic pipes in the engine bay? Fantastic build!

Common practice on hydro race cars of this period they were there to isolate the displacers , helped to stiffen and level up the suspension.

Not seen that one before, fantastic 8-)

Oh well all good things come to an end, the car has now gone up to Aucland to have the engine fitted by the builder Lynn Rogers who is probably the No 1 man here in NZ ( certainly with mini's) and I am told he has raced the car on occasion over the years, I still hope to be able to detail the engine and hear the car running before I call it a day :(
Here are a few pics of the finished car before it went into the box.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!

I do hope that you manage to get you hands on it again for final polishing, not that it looks like it needs anything at all!
