I like this one , perfectly set up, pointing straight on and power on leaving the 90 left marked by that cone

Re: HRCR 2014 CLUBMANS HISTORIC RALLY C/SHIP
Well latest update, the Ross Traders back on the 19th July went well for us. The first tests of the day went well and very enjoyable held in Speech House in the Forrest of Dean. It rained heavy for most of the day but after a hard day in the car we were delighted to finish 4th overall and a class win The only problems encountered were the same problem of keeping the car cool in the very humid conditions.
The following Saturday morning was spent at Mini Sport fitting a Kenlowe fan, and last Sunday we competed on round 8 the St Wilfreds rally based at Thirsk Auction market. Another hard day, the tests were very hard on the car but we had a cracking day and ended 3rd overall behind Ruddock and Warrens 2litre Escorts, with another two Escorts behind us We also won our class by 2 minutes and 47 seconds Next round is the Vale Of Clywd on Saturday 6th September. I now have a 37 point lead in the drivers section. Will try and post a pic.

Probably not Niall, to close the last HRCR rounds to risk the car, though I fancy playing out in the dark again, looking at doing an even in the north east later in the year though.......

Re: HRCR 2014 CLUBMANS HISTORIC RALLY C/SHIP
Well last weekend was the last of eleven rounds of the HRCR c/ship, and a long year it has been along with work etc etc...!!! Anyway we had a 6th o/a and 2nd in class on Saturday despite me being massively ill The end result sees us 4th overall in the c/ship, which was won by a Porsche 911 (well 2 911's actually as he uses different cars), then an RS Escort followed by another Escort with us next, We have also won the pre-68 Historic class outright with a 100% finishing record
All this has been helped no end by MINISPORT who provided our 1293 engine/box, an absolute cracker, plus massive help and support, Jon Wood aka Slowboy for the use of his trailer this year, BOWKER MINI Preston, my employers for the use of a tow vehicle, Bob on the maps and my ever patient wife Suzanne!!
I'm having a well earned break from rallies for the next few month

Re: HRCR 2014 CLUBMANS HISTORIC RALLY C/SHIP
Found this the other day in an old Longton & district MC magazine The original photo is in colour,i have dated it to circa late May early June 1965. My car, GJM795 the first Orangebox is on the left with its trophies, on the right is NTD276C the 970 Orangebox with its trophies and door numbers from its first rally, the 1965 Senior Service sponsored Morecambe National, iy had less than 500 miles on it at the start, number plate still in standard potion etc.
