My 1964 Mini Cooper S Replica Project

Post by bartman »

hi guys,
I bought this mini back in august only just getting round to have a proper look at it now my plan is to make it in to a Cooper S replica. It needs some major work but I have wanted a Mk1 for a while I cant afford a real cooper S so will make this look like one. any advice or help is welcome.

It's the worst I've restored yet but Mk1's are getting rare now and expensive it needs most panels including a full floor but I reckon I can get the shell solid for £3500. I have a set of 7.5 disc brakes and an 'A' series 1275 on remote change. I have seen worse and less desirable minis restored.

As has been said it's as rough as old boots, but with the correct panels & a bit of love I am sure it will make a great little Min again. As Bartman says all MK1's are getting desirable now & it'll be great to see this one live again.

Looks like a great project! Definitely a case of needing a smash and grab raid on M-Machine though!
