Were those a BMC part or just an aftermarket accessory?

I just cant believe they dont include the bag or boxes with the listings!

I discovered a big old box of NOS boxed gearbox items last night in my pile and have 2 1st motion shafts (think thats what they are!) that are still sealed in the printed bmc box by paper tape.

I dont know wether to leave them sealed and list the part number or take out of box! either way you have to include the original packaging as surely the value should be a lot less if people are buying just the item??

I asked the seller about this on another of his listings and his reply was that there was no bag inclided 'cause the bags usually contained a quantity of each item and he would sell just one in each listing.. Sounds fair to me, but still...
Cheers,

Apart from consumables, screws, nuts trim clips etc, most BMC bags held a single item not multiples.

We all know that the real reason for not including the bag is that to have a bag in the listing for something doubles the price.

SOME FOLKS ARE UNBELIEVABLY DUMB!

I asked the seller about this issue and below is his reply .Still a bit iffy to me .

Hi, the last thing I want to do is misleading someone. I have bought two ex BMC stores in Italy few years back and I recive lots and lots of parts. These extensions were in BMC bag so my logics told me that they are genuine. I do not see the reason why someone would put them there?! The reason why the bag is excluded from ouction is that all items I have for sale and there are more than one in package ( here are QTY 10) I do not send bag/box with first sold item but with the last one. If you check my other listings where there is only one item I allways give bag/box with the item. Hope this helped. Kindest regards, Uros :o)

Hi Uros,

Please don't take the comments in some of the recent threads to heart. How any person chooses to advertise their stuff on ebay is up to them & if (in my opinion) someone is prepared to pay over the odds because a bag is in the picture so be it.

Some of the items you have been offering recently on ebay have been SUPERB!

It does amuse me that people will pay twice as much for some self tapping screws (for example) when they are pictured with a BMC bag. I suppose to some extent this is because the buyer appreciates that they are getting a "genuine" item, but to me they are just screws that can be bought for less than pennies.

I suppose at the end of the day it's the buyers who we should be laughing at, not someone like you who has good NOS items to sell.

I hope this makes you feel a little better & accept that no one here is "having a go" at you personally.

I hope your auctions continue to do very well indeed.

Regards, Mark

PS. I note the addition to your listing & comment you for it! M
