I stumbled on this site while looking for a carb mod for an old MG, funny and amazing the stuff on the internet now, a lot of good car history that was not available a few years ago, enjoyed looking at some of the pics in this section, and If I had a Mini still would be looking through the tech pages, OH has a Frog so its close, but not the same.
Anyway, a few years ago my OH bought a Seven at auction that had been worked on, avonbar engine, roll cage ( cannot remember if it had gearbox work ) was a fun car and ideal for London. Later she decided it was time to let it go - must be 10 ish years ago and it went to the states ( a friend of a friend wanted an early mini )
With the cars paperwork was some pics of its history, but in the early dial up internet forum times it was less easy to get more detail, so here we go, dont know if its interesting on this forum?, but it would be nice to know a little more about the event/car and its history & if not you might like an old pic or two, dont know anything about the two guys who drove Rex as it was called, maybe they are still out there too.
