As a small aside, I received these pics from Goff this morning.

Taken at Blyton, this small plaque stands as a memorial to those who served at Blyton during the 1939 - 45 War & after.

I'll be speaking to javelin tomorrow to firm up our plans for the 2nd Mk1 Performance Action Day , which layout's we can use on which day and prices of course. Once we've got that sorted we can then open the booking page(s) for you lucky lot to reserve your track space.

More very soon. :)

What do people think of having a celebration of Cars and Car Conversions at Blyton? Triple C was THE mag of the 60's and 70's and we could probably get at least four ex Triple C cars together for a one off doffing of the cap to 50 years of the magazine. The owner of the Fred Game racer has already shown interest, as have those of the Will Sparrow rally car and then there's the Cox GTM and my Unipower. Think of any others anyone? I know Richard Hudson Evans' rally car is also still about, and we could invite ex magazine staff along for the day including Jeremy Coulter, Brian Harvey, etc (Is Youlton still around?). I did moot this idea to the organisers of the NEC show but didn't even get a reply, so why don't we have a bash? :)

Sounds like a good idea. If you want I could get some large format prints of the magazine covers done at work, say the size of a door, for some sort of backdrop.

Sounds like a great idea. Jordan with the Fred Game 59 racer is very keen to attend.

I managed to get Richard Hudson Evans, reunited with the CCC COX few years back.

The car moved less than 10miles from where it had been first built. I'll see if I can dig out the picture.

Oh the, CCC COX is,,,, almost, near as dam it,,, back together 8-)

It would be nice to repatriate KTR223E but I think it's unlikely. I believe that Ron Graham still owns it.

Didn't somebody else make a replica or am I just imagining that?

Other plans are to invite the Jeff Goodliff Vita Minisprint (which I've already done) along with Simon Goodliff which will cost some money to get over here probably, but it did last time and was worth every penny. We also plan to reunite Anita Taylor with James Palmer's 110 NNM, and possibly the Aurora BMC sports racer. And what about Rachel bringing 129 LNP? :D Well...we can dream. It'd be great to see some more of the DEWS guys, unfortunately Blyton clashed with their event last year, haven't seen Mike and Babs for what seems like years. :(

Special guests I've invited or am in the process of are Mike Wood who will present a colour slide show, Stu Turner, Peter Baldwin, Warwick Banks, Whizzo, Will Dick, Bob Fox, Bill Needham, Fitz and Jumpin Jeff of course! I'm sure more will be added!

A CCC car display sounds great, although I don't intend bringing the same car as last year (which was featured in the 'Home Brew' section in 1973, article written by Terry Grimwood by the looks of it) expanding it to period cars that had reports done on them, with a large print reproduction of the article might be nice :)

We've just a few things to iron out before we can open a booking page, which I hope will be in a couple of weeks so please try and check back now and again.
Friday/Saturday and for that matter Sunday night camping will not be a problem, ditto food and entertainment for Friday and Saturday night (you'll have to entertain and feed yourselves on Sunday night!).

I've fixed a price for the track day of £119 for a single day and am just working on the potential of further discount for the Sunday for those wanting to book two days (in two different cars if you wish) but we can't bank on that just yet. We also need the prices set in stone before we move forward.

We'll use the outer circuit (as last year) on Saturday and the more challenging Eastern Circuit on the Sunday.

http://www.blytonpark.co.uk/blyton-park ... rcuit-map/

Of course we'll have some special cars there, we'll have Mini only parking, all cars attending will be judged for our (non) concourse awards, there'll be driver awards, Maximum Mini group display, club displays, Mini Magazine in attendance, lots of Mini personalities and maybe next year we'll do that group photo we didn't manage to do last time??

I'm not saying I'm excited or anything but it's not long off now Pete.....148 days , or 4 months & 28 days, 12,787,200 whole seconds.....213,120 minutes,3552 hours....or about 21 weeks.

As Pete has said above, things are moving on fast & we did originally hope to have the booking line open by now, but we still have one or two things to finalise before we can.

The waits killing me too, but I promise it won't be too much longer.
