Hi Lads
Always had a soft spot for early 70's mini's probably cause i had quite a few and served my time fixing a few lol.
Saw this link tonight
http://www.copart.co.uk/c2/homeSearch.h ... CH_RESULTS
A reasonably early GT looks messed with a little
cage fitted
big wheels
Twin tanks ( or were they an option on a GT)
Not sure about the engine looks like a later engine to me, A plus possibly what do you think ?.
It certainly has an 1 3/4 carb by the looks of it.
But on whole looks like it could be turned into a good example of a 1275gt
What do you think it is worth bearing in mind it is a cat D and always will be.
what do you think it's worth

Re: what do you think it's worth
looks like it was a nice car (wheels excepted) with original trim, but given the damage - the trim will be pricey and/or hard to find and paintwork needed, I wouldn't pay much more than the current bid. It'll also need shipped from west lothian.
Also not clear pics of the sills / floors etc
Never actually seen sugar poured into an engine, I thought it was an urban myth that people do such things. probably not an issue if it's not been run, not that it'd run well with the plug leads cut!
given all that, never mind what it's worth - what (or who) did the owner do!

I reckon that considering the damage & vagueness of the pics its probably at its money now.
Looks like a nice one though.

Re: what do you think it's worth
i wonder who the owner fell out with for the car to be vandalised?
fixing a slashed roof will be hassle, but one plug lead cut and a bit of sugar poured into the engine isnt exactly the sign of a master criminal mind
i wouldnt even worry about the suger, id just run it up to temp and drain the oil off
