The recess detail at the door pocket to allow the door to close around the cage is first class. Top job.
I was looking at this and I'm impressed, but is it legal??
FIA Appendix K?? Yes

I thought that absolutely no body mods of visible panels were legal.

Do you feel that if you mount the door bar above the door pocket it gets in the way?

Well I got my papers through last month and Hacky and Mark Hunt got theirs through last year with the same mod. :geek:
Ingress and outgress is easier definitely but the real benefit is that you get the base of the cage that little tad wider :ugeek:

I don't know who thought of the door pocket mod first but Terry Cree has run his car in HRCR stage events for some years now with the modified door bins. If it wasn't allowable I would imagine that he'd have been thrown out long before now.

Can't see any reason why that mod would cause concern as it's no advantage whatsover to the car and is probably heavier than the original !

I agree, but FIA scrutineers are not thinking rationally like the rest of the world all of the time.

When my car was finished, it weighed in at 612Kg, so I had to add a horn, a heater, swop the space saver fire extinguisher for a big steel one, etc, etc.....to get it up to weight!
