12A596 crankshaft

evening all...
I'm led to believe but can anyone confirm if 12A596 crank is for 998 cooper
or standard 998...or neither? Material EN16.
my parts book no can help...

I can only find a reference to 12A595 which is an early casting for a 998.

If that's the number cast in to it, then it's actual part number is 12A595, just an ordinary early 998 Crank.

I think the P/N for the early 998 Cooper Crank is 8G2733 but I don't know what made these different as they too were only in EN16T and dimensionally the same. There was a crank offered through Special Tuning that was Tuftrided, C-AEG 515, but these weren't factory fitted.

yep 12A596 is cast in raised characters as is the EN16T.....nothing special.

Some early 998 have different oil drillings , similar to a AEG 480 crank
