Front subframe mounts

While retreiving an errant screwdriver from the front of the engine bay I noticed my '67 mk1 has teardrop type front mountings on the front subframe. Shouldn't it be solid mounted? Is this a problem?

it will have just had a replacement front panel at sometime

Thanks, that's ok then. Though I was half hoping it might be the explanation for the general crashiness and clonks from the underside on our lovely roads, despite new bushes etc.
