Ugliest Mini Based Kit Car Nominations
Following a suggestion by Goff, I am pleased to be able to open the 2014 "Ugliest Mini Based Kit Car" Awards.
I look forward to receiving your nominations.
Here's a couple to start with.
Yak by name, Yak by nature
Stimson "Scorcher" only suitable for burning.

Not really a kit car, but there was a Jaffa Orange near Trowbridge a few years ago.

I suppose it gives the recovery people somewhere to attach a tow rope to when they are dragging it out of a ditch................33JOY wrote:

I recon Mark's been nobbled! Rich has got to him.
He's posted up 3 GRP horrors, and not a single door to be seen!
Why? I can only assume he's been bribed into protecting Rich from anyone mentioning his weird fascination for the fundamental building block of the UK kit car industry, the Marina door handle. (Such is Rich's obsession with this humble piece of automotive ironmongery that he snapped up the designer's own car, just to hold the wheel which held the pencil that drew the rectangle that became the handle...... )
What next, a Biota?
(Oh, and the Stimpson Scortcher is perhaps unique in being the only vehicle ever built which doesn't have a single angle which is attractive. Even as one disappears into the distance, the horror of it remains seared into your consciousness.)

in an ideal world the royalties for the design of the Wilmot breeden door handle should have come with that mini - I would have been quids in then!Pandora wrote:

But isn't the Stimson Scorcher just a 1960/70s of this:

Re: Ugliest Mini Based Kit Car Nominations
So you've wasted your cash on kit, why not waste some more on 2 extra wheels?
Not even the Banana splits would be seen driving this!
What is it with grp fumes?
