No, with my ever increasing solar panel I kept the roof closed. Had to fill the tank three times, the joys of a single 5.5 gallon tank and twin carbs. Has a bit of a thirst for oil too. Changed the exhaust today to a side exit and removed the mud flaps, unfortunately the clutch has started to slip. I'll post some pics soon.Pete wrote:Well done Stu, I like it! Roof open all the way ?

Sounds cheap to me? That's complete front and rear subframes I don't think I could do that for the money. Always assuming it's a proper job and not just a "Rattle can rebuild"...................

I wonder how the registration process works on a car like that?
Interesting to note that e coating costs a further £1500. I thought a Heritage shell was e coated as standard?

If you can build a car from 100% new parts when you take it for an IVA to get it registered you get a new number on it rather than a Q. Looking at the pictures of the heritage shells now I'd say they're just sprayed in grey primer now.

Utterly epic idea.
The IVA will probably fail it. Failing that, the EUSSR will have probably banned them.

Have you googled the phone number? Comes up with 'The Wedding Crew' wedding supplies and services. After buying one of those cars you won't be needing their services.

I wonder what their mark up is on it?
It's a shame heritage don't do a Mk1 shell. I'm sure Mk1 Cooper Esses would sell very well.
I'll have my shell galvanised please

Shill bidding at its best (?) Tim
Seriously though, why does eBay allow private listings when bidders ID's are hidden anyway ??!!
All it does is encourage shill bidding and also put a considerable number of genuine bidders off bidding because of the likeliness of being ripped off due to the shill bidding.

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
I personally don't think that there is a much shill bidding on ebay as some do.
HOWEVER!
In this case it can't possibly be anything but.
That car is a HEAP!

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
So, as I write this the cars at £4600, shill bidding or not, I just can't help wondering who would bid this much money for a total basket case, and it's happening on eBay constantly, it obviously ain't any of us lot, and if, and when a deal goes through, is it the buyer that then spends the next 10 years "rebuilding" this basket case, replacing everything that's "genuine" with repro parts and panels to make an "original" mark 1 mini, or spend thousands paying a back street bodyshop to weld and paint the car who doesn't really know what he's doing with a mini.
