Finally got my engine stuff back from machining after a few delays.
1480 A+ block with 4 bolt centre main
Full race big valve slab head from Brian Slark
Paul Ivey 86mm crank
S rods
74mm Omega pistons

That should have some grunt. My long stroke engine in my "Vita" car really was brutal compared to anything I've had since, went up steep hills like they weren't there.

Will hopefully have it together and in the car over the next fortnight. It's booked in to the rolling road for the first week of July so I better get the finger out! The rest of the spec is pretty meaty too so hopefully the figures will be good.
Should get at least 1 sprint and 1 race in before the end of the year along with a few practice days/track days!

Split 45s, 320 cam plus all the usual extras.
A few things such as reverse megaphone system will have to wait for another few months unfortunately.

Thanks nev, it's a joy to work on engines for Neil, he is very easy to advise. Like my self he is a stickler for detail !! We are working most evenings in the garage call in if your passing I have another little project kicking off that might tidle your fance, it would deffo bring your dad back 20/30 years lol

Good progress is being made now on the assembly of the engine at Hickey Race Engineering. Another couple of evenings will hopefully see it finished and ready for installation

It's a Cometic head gasket, hence the little riveted tabs you can see at the front of the block.
The timing chain is the new Swiftune Simplex set up so no tensioner needed. It's 400g lighter on average than a duplex set up and the chain stupidly strong.
