That 59 has had a lot of time put into it, a little over restored some might say, but plenty of dedication has went into it for sure.
The best repairs go un-noticed

Actually they are the wrong door cards altogether. 1959 Minis did not have ribbed cards.

The nicest thing about that Biota is the "Houghton Coldwell" steering wheel.
The buy it no price of that wreck also makes the 4 cars & all the moulds etc that were offered a while ago look like exceptionaly good value.

oh, I like a pathetic ugly mini based kit car, one that you stand back and ask, 'what where they thinking'
sure, you can get reasonably pretty ones like gtms etc, but its the underdogs that I really like (he says, owing a status 365...)

Most mini-based kit cars are not very pretty. They might be cool like the Marcos and nimbus, but not very good looking, I am sorry to say

I wonder if it's had a restoration, it was looking pretty rough last time I saw it. I wonder how many shells EBL 56C was attached to after all those rallies (inc two RAC's!), one or two I'd have thought. One of the best known works Minis though that one.thefarmer wrote:http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C518377

I'll be looking for some commission there as they have used one of my pictures from the 2009 Goodwood FoS
