Hi,
Could anyone tell me the internal thread size of the nut that holds the steering wheel onto the column?
Many thanks
Jamie

They are one of those odd-ball threads - 0.675" x 28 tpi - I couldn't find a standard matching thread for them.

If you want a secondhand one, let me know. You'd be welcome. I've got one I have no use for.

Thanks OEW, its ok we have machined down the nut we had to make it fit - it was for a steering wheel boss that the nut was slightly too large to fit in.

I know that you've done the job now, but this got me thinking as I haveJamie wrote:Thanks OEW, its ok we have machined down the nut we had to make it fit

Jamie
a couple of smaller than normal steering wheel nuts in my junk collection.
One is about 1&3/32" or 27.78mm
One is about 1&1/8" or 28.575mm
I am fairly sure that one of these was a "standard" part, from my old 1986
998cc automatic Mini.
... but I also found this, a one-incher, listed...

If you bugger up or lose the one you have modified, it certainly looks like
there are some "standard" alternatives if you can't make your own again...
