My first car was a GT, sh*t brown with gold stripes and I've always had a thing for them, the early ones especially that are quite a thing to find nowadays , this looks to be a decent project, how early though?

I would hazard a guess 69/70 maybe even 71

I would think the hydro would prevent it from being much newer than that

That bronze and aqua are my fave colours for a GT

I know where one the same colour as in the listing is , and it has been in a lockup since 1982

Just noticed the rostyles not like any I have seen on a GT

I think they are Innocenti ones

Also def an early car it has a boot board I would guess H reg

They had those until about '73/4 didn't they? Does look early though as you both say, anyone date the chassis number?

Ye they are Inno wheels, look like German spec ones.

Not sure when they stopped to be honest, I thought it was just first two to three years.

A friend had a 74 N reg I am sure it was board'less lol

Think the last cars with hydro were the Gt the S and the Clubman, so if that were true it would put this car in the 69-71 bracket perhaps ?

Hi all.

the "tell tale" on age (app) is the airvents (balls) they are the VERY early type, with the small "knob" .

This is a 69er - or a very early 70.

Havent been able to establish a date for deletion of the boot board yet ? but I have seen 3 GT,s (all from 1974) and they all had it.

So it was not deleted when the new brakesystem with bigger wheels came in april 1974, and body no remained D20D = 1275GT code.

I keep looking at this and wishing that it was closer to me and that someone would buy my Mini so I could reinvest.

I think I would take this GT over 99% of other Minis.

its a very early one

center key start and the bonnet hinges that bolt vertically - those hinges only appeared on mk3's for a very short time.

id say its early 1969

Looks like a good clean shell but no engine, reg number nor paperwork is a shame!

Paper work shouldn't be a problem as it has it's tags. Engine might be a bit more difficult, I estimate £1750-2000.

GT's are starting to be appreciated in the market and are rising in value

It is worth what someone is prepared to pay but mainly due to the lack of engine and no paperwork - finger in the air £1500 -£2000

My mate has an early GT just like that one. It is waiting to be restored. the idea being he will have a matching Bronze Yellow MK3 S & early Hydro GT.

Will be brilliant when it's done.

I know Stu but an age related plate (eventually) and no history takes alot away from the car really. You think the seller would have been able to get something from the deceased family about it's history/reg number?
