Driving Tips With Paddy Hopkirk (1964)

Post by mab01uk »

"Paddy Hopkirk is seen driving his red Monte Carlo rally driving Mini, number 37, on the skid track, backing it through obstacles and skid turning. C/U of a photographer's press camera. There are lots of shots of the car on the track, including point of view shots from a car in front . We then see Paddy, in a light blue Mini, driving around on the local suburban streets and some countryside roads."

That's the main route from Longbridge to Abingdon isn't it ?

Looks to be two different 33 EJB's there, apparently there were a few mock ups seen around the time.

Good spot! Those clips of Paddy on the autotest course are great - I remember seeing them when I was younger and they helped get me hooked on getting an early Mini!

I'm pretty sure it's the A4074. It's the road between Cowley and Abingdon. I know that's what you meant! ;)
