SC set Comparasion
Hi, Any opinion on choosing SC gears set for a 1275 S tuned engine when use for fast road and track day?
MS Clubman set 4 syc 3.44 FD
MS old ST 3 syc CR SC set 3.44 FD
Which one is more fun to drive or with a different FD may suit?
Looks more or less the same gearing but would like to know any comment?

Re: SC set Comparasion
For general use a 4 synch set will always make more sense than a 3 synch set. The Minispares 4 synch set takes a lot of beating both on price & quality.
Having said that I use 3 synch boxes ibn most of my cars. . . . . Don't really know why though.

Mark,
MAy be you got joblots of old 3 syc gBox parts lying around your garage!
Guys said the 3 syc casing are stronger!
NOt to say most 3 syc parts in existance are NOS parts, means better quality and last longer!
But not so easy to mix and match with the later 4 syc parts I believe!
Thinking of building a box for my CCC replica
