yep, 'bargains' very quickly become expensive by the time you add it all on.
We've had 8 ports bits from Steve in the past, would've liked to see his turbo install completed.

Caution may contain 8 Ports, Xe's and VTec's, I don't do standard!

Re: Steve Harris retirement auction
Well, after having finally found a browser that would open the catalogue as Firefox wouldn't. I can't say I am exactly bowled over by either the quality of stuff on offer or indeed the lacklustre catalogue that the Auctioneers have put together, very few pics at all, short almost meaningless descriptions, you can't even download a copy of the catalogue. There are certainly not going to be a huge number of absentee bidders as anyone not at the auction has no idea what they could be bidding on.
I wish Steve the very best for his retirement, but feel the aucton of his stuff could have been handled a lot better.

Re: Steve Harris retirement auction
Please, please tell me that lot 341 went for a shed load of money!
We would love to have had the chance to purchase the 8 port turbo bits.

Yes, I was there. A fair amount of the stuff went very cheaply if you had need of it.

Re: Steve Harris retirement auction
No 341 didn't sell although to be honest it wasn't quite as nice as I though it might be.
I thought the semi down draught head was interesting and I'm really annoyed I didn't bid higher on the 970 16V engine. That said I think our Skoda might have bottomed out if we had to squeeze any more into it.

Re: Steve Harris retirement auction
I think the S got bid to £5k but I didn't think it sold, maybe it was agreed after the auction?
Tupers, you weren't the chap stood next to me with his wife/girlfriend were you?
He seemed to buy most of it (and for the right money!)
I was happy with my purchase anyway!
