Hi Jens

Thanks for your comment. The sill trim is a nice touch and its a shame that there is only one on the car!

Looking great Tim. Wait til you fit the mutant powder blue / green / grey seat, should make it interesting!

Got the pic tonight and it is very odd. Will dig out the green trim and get it off to you later in the week.

An afternoon spent trying to push out some slight dishing in the rear quarter and building up the internals of the rear drums! Engine will hopefully be out over the weekend for a freshen up!

My favourite Ebay bargain has to be VFF's BARC badge. Love it!

Another Ebay bargain for the benefit of VFF is this 60's Moto Lita wheel. The leather has been fed and it just needs sewing together to complete. Its a lovely wheel with the thinner rim and has polished up a treat with a fantastic patina which i want the car to have.

Car looks great Tim. Will it be on the road this year? Slightly scruff bodywork looks good. Mines not great close up but I like it like that!

Cheers Luke

Was hoping to get the car to Blyton but it's looking doubtful. Hopefully it will be somewhere near for Stanford in Sept. Body wise I'm looking to have localised repairs done just to make it look respectable as it was never going to be a show car. We will see.......!

The Moto Lita has now been re stitched by a Saddler and although the leather is nearly 50 years old, once given a good feed it regained its suppleness and repaired really well. Thanks to Mk1Mad, i now have a really nice Tulip boss and apart from drilling the extra holes, i have ended up with a gorgeous looking wheel with fantastic patina.

Are you presuming that Blyton will still be going in 2019?

Tim,
Are those wheels 3 1/2" or 4 1/2" and are the tyres 145 Falkens?

Haha Dean.....as you well know this is a long term project mainly due to the fact that i have no folding stuff to throw at it just yet! :D

Dave, the wheels are 4 1/2 'S' rims and the tyres are indeed 145 Falkens. Iv'e tried to find a set of Indias but with no luck!

All looking great Tim.
I had Indias on a Mini years ago - loved them. Pain that I can't seem to find a set anywhere now either.

Now sporting original hub caps and overiders / corner bars. Started to remove the black stone chip gloop from the rear arches today revealing shiny original Almond Green paint underneath!
