I don't honestly think the "Downton History" is anything to get too excited about, but the shell looks fairly solid, despite the bonnet having a bit of an "Overbite".

That is utter madness you can't blame the seller though . It amazes me how much some people are prepared to pay . Do you remember the HEALY rocker I put on ebay . I had to realist it because as rich said on a mini the logo was the wrong way round . It made £476 when re listed .

I'd be interested to see proof that car had Speedwell bits put on it in period because last time it was for sale up here it looked like it had just had a carb kit and badge screwed to it. Looked pretty rough in places too.

Can anyone remember how much it was first advertised for ? Does seem a real gem . Yes must agree strange way to advertise such a nice car . That's the sort of mini find that's been making fortunes in auctions of late . 997 is not everyone's cup of tea though ..
