seatbelts

Post by davidmuir »

Have had a look at doing this 'myself' and was put off by the prospect of 'unrivetting' the lift-up flap to allow disassembly of the buckle for rechroming. The buckle would then require rivetting again before use...........okay this isn't difficult in itself but , it is a seatbelt and one would not want any doubt re it's assembly/strength. Decided to go with new ,three point, static belts from Seatbelt planet(US) . Two belts were about $45 each($90 total) plus $60 shipping plus some fixing bolts . Got hit for £25 duty once they arrived here but still about half of what I would have paid in this country-sad but true!
Belts from Seatbelt Planet are perfect and the chroming on the buckles is luxurious (all American chroming is, just look at a Snap-on spanner!)

Thanks for the reply David
Perhaps I'll email Cooperman to find out what he did!
