I am assuming from the mention of the Poclain digger that 'Graeme1293' is the one and only Graeme Farr that I exchanged e-mails with a couple of years ago in my relentless search for these elusive lights. Yes Graeme I still have the car and you can imagine my surprise when I first saw it in the still from the movie. At least I now know what colour the 'Brass' annotated on the bill of sale from S&A is.
I will look for some of these items from the Panhard and if they are correct then will just have to mask off the requisite section of the beam pattern to get them through a MOT test.

I'm due to speak to W&P's Eddie Collins soon so should be able to ask the same question as to where the lamps were sourced.

Unfortunately I don't have anything at all of the original lamp units, only the rear headlamp 'buckets' which are different dimensions to the lamps. With the lamp orifices in the wings having been repaired I'm not sure that the dimensions of those are correct hence the reason I haven't done anything with the bodywork until I know exactly which lamps to use.
To be honest I would probably be better going with the early Metro option as at least they are easily available should I be lucky enough to find a pair of Cibies and disaster strike in the future when I would be in the same position. They dip the right way at least and only folk in the know would see that they weren't absolutely correct for the car. The only person I know in the UK who has a pair of the correct lights in a car is Steve Burkinshaw who may be prepared to measure them for us.

I may take up the request to take the car to Blyton as it sits and see if that throws up any leads.

I doubt there is anything that special about the headlamps on an S&A Sprint just what would have been available at the time.

The same one is on Steve's sprint. There is also a grey rubber seal that is fitted around the edge of the chrome bezel.

Nev, looks like you and me are in trouble for the big pictures.
Unfortunately not an expert on these forums as you can tell by the number of posts.
It said browse for a picture, I did, and that was the result. Didn't see anywhere that they had to be of a certain dimension.
The grey trim on Steves rims is interesting, hadn't noticed that before. I notice he doesn't have the MINISPRINT lettering on either the front or the rear that I have available for mine. Luckily found them all in a box on a bench when I picked up the car.
As for Blyton, will have to see what is going on around that time. It's a fair way from Inverness though but would be nice to meet other owners.

I won't know until much nearer the time as it depends on workload etc. It will obviously have to come down on the trailer which I hope wouldn't pose a problem. I'll discuss with 'she that must be obeyed' and see what I can come up with.

The Charles Deutsch CD Panhard is not a Panhard, only the engine is Panhard and was a pretty rare beast, only few made.
Cibié concave lights were made for an utilitary from Renault, the "Super Goélette".
