Please, keep us posted on the progress, I really enjoyed watching the progress with Mark's, especially Neville's pictures of it inside his chateau in Normandy!

I'd say more like three or four.

They are common as muck.

the point I was trying to make was that the way nev has always cut minis was to suit the shapes of a mk1 shell, as he had never seen (or chopped) a mk3 - he was unsure of the best places to chop into the a posts as they are such a different shaped and design when compared to a external hinge shell

I even had to send him a mk3 grille and some big rear lights as he had never seen them either!

Point taken Rich...my comment was purely based on observation...I like the look of chopped down minis but I never liked to see cars deseamed !!.. they look naff !!!...most of the guys involved in chopping down minis in the 60,s created something interesting in the mini world.. I remember seeing quite a few in the metal as a 60,s teen but I still pref the car whole  ....but an orig mk 1 minisprint is a thing of beauty and if anyone can post up the pic of the 2 side by side at yazuka or was it another Jap classic car show a few years back ??? Japans natl Mini day was it??........I have seen the pic a few times I think they are both green cars ???.....very very eyecatching minis... foxy52

Yup, agreed, DMR 171 looks decidedly odd ;-)

Sorry to say = no :( it survived upto the 90ies, and was then scrapped

Check its no plate BA = Elsinore police district.

The picture of the car, with Geoff Thomas & Ole Jörgensen was taken at Langelinie pier.

VPR is my basis to how I'd like mine to look. Though mine will have twin tanks, an a few other special features ;) I have always wanted a Sprint an specially a certain sprint which was kind of local to me, luckily for me after a long while of trying to buy it, I managed to get hold of it. :D
