Just wondering when people are intending on selling stuff? As I would like to bring some tunings bits to sell but if I'm on the track most the day not sure how it will work? My car will soon be ready ( hopefully service/MOT ) but found out we have to pull brothers engine out an repair it, then get it bolted back in an get it rolling roaded an MOT'd, so cutting it abit fine

As no-one wants early tuning stuff and it all has such a low value, I'm sure an honesty box will suffice.

Couple of titbits of news re Blyton after our recce this morning. First off, we have the opportunity for those who are arriving on Saturday for supper to be laid on (circa £7 per head) in the dining hall (bring your own bottle if you wish) at around 6.30pm plus an 'after dinner' talk by Mini sporting personalities (to be confirmed) in the briefing room (quite a big room). This would take us up to 8.30 or so. Menu to be confirmed.

What I need is an idea of numbers that would attend this on the Saturday night at the quoted price, the sooner people can let me know the better chance we have of getting this organised. Please let me know asap.

We can arrive Saturday from 5.30pm to pitch up/set up.

There is also now a karting track alongside the paddock which will be open to anyone who fancies a go, kids included on the day. I will confirm how much that is per session.

More soon....

Both Pete & I are really keen to get this sorted, but what we need is a decent number of people to commit to the meal & talk idea.

As Pete says £7.00 or so pounds a head isn't much & it could be a really good addition to the itinerary, which we hope to be able to publish very soon.

I think cars went out on track at 9.30 this morning. It is a good idea to get there Saturday anyway as it makes for a more social event and a more relaxing start to the day on Sunday. I'm approaching a couple of people for the evening talk, it'll be a good hoot and we can still have a beer afterwards. If we got twenty people for the evening minimum we could run it and I suspect we'll get more.
I followed the directions on the Action Day info page without a sat nav today and found it easily. From the M1 it was a simple case of M18, M180 then a five or six mile drive on country roads, simples.

Don't forget Blyton camping pitch charges are £10 for the night (which I'm not over impressed by but it's beyond our/ Javelin's control) and is payable on the day, there are some eletric points if you need one.

There's plenty of space for what we want to do including an autojumble/car boot area. I've invited three decent jumblers already who have accepted the invite, any more just PM me.

Everybody on track will recieve 'final instructions' by email directly from Javelin and Mini parking will be marshalled on the day as will non Mini parking. We really don't have a clue how many Minis will turn up but I'm sure from our site visit today there will be enough room for them all to be parked together.

Stu - we have asked about you taking snaps on the day from the wrong side of the armco  and I'm waiting a confirmation but looks promising, you'd need a high viz vest.

Thanks.

Can all people who would like to take advantage of a decent meal on Saturday night, as described above by Pete, please contact me direct so I can make a list up. Trying to count folks who say Yes on the thread is very tricky & it would be good to get a decent head count to avoid anyone missing out.

If you would like an evening meal on saturday (about £7) please drop me a line on mark@the-forsters.co.uk

Thanks,
