The first Authi Mini Cooper registered.

Hello!
Sorry, this is a Mk3 post, but its interesting to read about the Spanish built Minis!
I've just noticed I have the first road registered Authi Mini Cooper!!!
I saw an advertisement in Anamera of an Authi Mini Cooper, chasis number 2 for sale.
Then I saw my numberplates which is older than than the one in the car....I checked the chassis and its number 7....also my car was registered as a Morris Mini Cooper and chassis 2 is registered as an Authi Mini Cooper.
Also, my car has a Special feature...its doors. Take a look at the two piece side windows with one of them opening like a compass....I was told it was bordéis by coachbuilder Pedro Serra as a prototype for the Landaben factory in Navarra, north of Spain, where the Authi Minis were builtin late 60'sand early 70's.
Also, please take note of the hole under the rear heated creen for a rear wiper, bote factory options as well as the Head restraints, a brake ser o and a oil cooler.
The car is in original condition apart it only lacks its original black vinyl roof.

It must be great to "discover" that you have a truly historic mini.

BTW, The forum isn't JUST for MK1's all variants are welcome, but the emphasis is on MK1, MK2 & early MK3's, your car definitely falls into the "early MK3" category.
